Originally a part of Local 274, we were granted our own charter in 1977 as a metal trades local covering New Jersey from Sussex to Gloucester counties.

We have more than 1,300 employees in the Gas Transmission, Distribution and Production Departments at twelve locations of Public Service Electric and Gas Company.

Our members install and maintain the gas distribution mains and services that supply natural gas to industries, businesses and homes throughout New Jersey.

We also install and service both gas and electric appliances and provide service through our "Worry Free" program, which offers service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We help keep New Jersey running.
