Road Sprinkler Fitters Local Union 669 celebrates its 85th Anniversary this year, and what a year it promises to be. Membership has been growing at a steady pace and is well over 9,500 members, with a goal of 10,000 by year's end.

With jurisdictions in all but 17 cities and 2 states, the membership is scattered across the entire United States.

In 1993 the Local purchased its own building and is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, located midway between Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

With three National Officers at the helm, the membership is represented by thirty full-time field Business Agents and four Organizers, with plans for additional personnel in 2000.

As a road local, our members travel throughout our jurisdiction, working on all types of construction projects from coast to coast, no matter how big or how small, including residential sprinkler work.

All you have to do is read the newspaper to realize that, in fact, SPRINKLERS SAVE LIVES.
